Ropinsky’s early works have exploited persistent display bugs (e.g. errors) in Flash browser plugins and players for visual purposes. Those bugs allowed to invent a certain kind of roughness into an otherwise all too slick-looking vector-based image world.
Bugs and randomization have lead to something Ropinsky calls a digital original.
